Reserve Your SeatsAs the United States celebrates 250 years of independence, Washington's Ring of Spies brings the extraordinary story of the men and women of faith, courage, and conviction who made it all possible — to the stage. October 15 – November 12, 2027. Location to be announced.
Haym Salomon, a Jewish-American founding father, was not only a financier of the American Revolution but one of the earliest American spies. A member of the New York Sons of Liberty, he gathered intelligence for the patriot cause in British-occupied New York. Captured and imprisoned by the British twice, Salomon escaped both times and even helped other Americans escape as well.
Only later did he become a crucial financier of the war, helping sustain the revolutionary cause. His story is one of the most profound — and least told — chapters of the founding era.
"He gave his fortune, his health, and ultimately his life to the cause of American liberty — and history has barely whispered his name."
Spy & Financier of the Revolution
Washington's Ring of Spies brings to life the extraordinary men and women whose courage, sacrifice, and ingenuity shaped the birth of a nation.
Christy Stutzman is the composer, lyricist, and creator of Washington's Ring of Spies: A Musical Revolution. With a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music, she studied Vocal Performance, training under Raymond Gibbs, former leading tenor of the Metropolitan Opera, and Sarah Reese, Soprano, formerly of the Chicago and Boston Lyric Opera. She has been composing and performing since childhood — writing her first published song at age five and directing her own productions by her early twenties.
Founder of Legacy Theatre Group and former Executive Director of the Round Barn Theatre, Christy has written and composed three acclaimed Broadway-style musicals — A Musical Christmas Carol, When Calls the Heart: The Musical, and Love Comes Softly: The Musical — with more than 53 original songs fully orchestrated with Nashville producers, captivating tens of thousands of theatre-goers across the country.
As a former Indiana State Representative, and a lover of history, the arts, and education, her connection to American history and patriotic music is woven into everything she creates. As the NSDAR National Chorus Director from 2013 to 2016, she directed the 120-voice All-American Chorus in Constitution Hall each year at the Continental Congress in Washington, D.C. She has composed patriotic and inspirational songs for all occasions, but her desire to put the untold story of George Washington's secret spy ring on stage is one she has carried for years — and America's 250th Birthday year is the perfect time to launch the World Premiere of this exciting true story — the story of We the People — that every American should know: Washington's Ring of Spies.
